Stiff tail

My boyfriend told me that today, he's noticed that Novas tail has been stiff. Instead of flopping back whenever we pick up Toothless' tail, hers won't do that. I'll pick it up it won't...I don't even know how to describe it. Like it falls in one whole motion, rather than flop like a flaccid tail and usually we can take them and curl them up, like a scorpion tail when they're at attention and she won't let it do that either. Color is normal, no sign of tail rot or anything. She's been a tad clingy the last day or two, if that matters

Hello,

Do you have any pictures to post so we can see the tail condition?
Could she have hurt herself or fallen & hurt her back or tail? That is common with injuries if the
tail wont support itself in that way.
Is the tail shedding that you have noticed?

Her tail is much... softer today. She's always been super chill but not big on affection. She'll tolerate it but wouldn't cuddle or anything like Toothelss. But over the last few days, she's been super clingy. We get her out and she'll curl her little monkey toes around our hands and fingers and hold on for dear life and I think she was just kinda... scared or something yesterday. Toothless has been an ass lately and I think it's stressing her out.

I don't know if you can see it, but her tail has a teeny tiny kink at the end, like you have to really feel for it to feel her. Her breeder we got her from claims they don't know what it is and she didn't have it with her but I just think it's a birth defect of some sort. It doesn't bother her at all. Plus, her tail tip looks dark partially because the lights are off, she's dark because she just got up and is kinda cool and her tail gets dark easily, she's a tad moody.😅

Hello,

That's great her tail is better today. It is possible that it is a birth defect caused by low calcium possibly.
It doesn't look to be an injury either.
Their tails can get light or dark depending on temperature or maybe pre-shed, etc.
Is she eating well right now?

She was eating fantastic when we got her in October, she gained a lot of weight. (102g when we got her to like 420g three months later) but she's slowed down a bit. Has zero interest in crickets and eats like... 40 dubias a day on a good day with some salad and like closer to 20 or so with a bit of salad on an average day amd has no issue eating worms. She's been streaked up lately, almost hiding in her tree. At least spending a lot of time in it, so I think we're going to move her so her and Toothless can't see each other from their tanks. Right now, we have the corner of her tank that's exposed to him covered and I think it's helped a bit.

When we got her, I noticed her face would twitch every now and then and I think it was a calcium deficiency because when she was eating crickets dipped in calcium, it stopped. But she refused to eat crickets with calcium on them but I also put it on her salad too so she gets some that way. I need to find a way to up her calcium a bit. The kink in her tail feels like her tail was literally snapped and sort of healed crooked, but it doesn't bother her.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
