My 8 year old dirty recently was not feeling well. Her eyes were swollen. I am a veterinary technician. We had some blood work done. She was slightly anemic and dehydrated so she’s been getting septic fluid treatments. The swelling in her eyes went down and she opened up my realize she has the starburst sheep in the middle of her pupil in the surrounding of her eye is slightly discolored as well. Has anybody seen this before?

Hello,

I have seen this type of condition here but it isn't real common. How long has her eye looked
like that? Could she have injured it in any way?
It may be a bacterial type of infection from what I remember. Have you tried raw honey yet? You
can make some eye drops from mixing warm sterile water with some raw honey & use that a couple
of times daily to see if that helps to clear any of it up.
How is her appetite doing?

It’s been about a week that I’ve noticed it since I’ve got her eyes to open and the swelling down her appetite is getting better. I am still syringe, feeding her baby food, and she is eating some things on her own. She finally passed some stool and she is a lot more active. I have not tried those eyedrops

Also, no injury that I’m aware of

Hello,

How is the eye looking today? Definitely try making up some eye drops with the honey in case
there is a bacterial issue going on.
I hope she is feeling better then. Since she is eating some on her own, that will help a lot. It's a
stressful situation for you both to have to syringe feed.
Let us know how things are going. I hope her eyes get better soon.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
