Shedding

Hello all!

My Bernie Cosmo has been this off white colour.. I’ll show you before and after pics. I think he is going to shed.. I don’t see any evidence of shedding it’s been about 5 days.. I’ve given him a warm soak to try and help.. should I be worried? The middle pic is his regular colour, water dish was the first day or so and on the rock is day 5.

No he looks good and he is shedding- looks like he's got a milk mustache going

Thanks! Is there anything else I can do for him? His appetite is good! He’s a little more skittish but he’s happy, active, good appetite. Going to upgrade his tank size soon hehe he’s growing so fast

When his shedding gets to be crackly and dried must him and take a soft baby toothbrush and brush him- it will take the loose stuff off

Perfect! I’ll probably give him another warm bath and do that when it really starts to break apart

Is it correct that they need a bath every other day or about 3 times a week?

No. To many baths can either dry out their skin (pronlems) or if they don't dry out completely it can cause bacteria or fungus under their scales. Baths are for cleaning them up if the get poop on themselves or hydration (IF THEY DRINK in the bath, most won't)

I would give a bath if they drinking or poop themselves - drinking every couple
