Yes it could be tail rot ,you can use a 1 part Betadine to 10 parts water to soak it daily . You don't have to soak her entire body, try using a disposable cup [ or any cup or glass ] to put the mixture in and then dangle her tail in it while you hold her. Later in the day you can dab some of the mixture on , make it a little stronger by adding a little more Betadine. You can use Neosporin or raw honey on it as well. Make sure there are no loose insects in the tank. If it gets worse you'll need a vet and possible amputation.

Okay will that make it get better or will the tip of her tail fall off? How long should I soak it a day?

About 10 minutes but even 5 should help. Then dab more on later in the day with a Q-tip and/or the other 2 things I mentioned. Hopefully that will help. No way to know if it'll fall and heal recover and heal.

if you do wind up using neosporin, make sure it is the kind without pain killer in it. just the regular stuff.

Hello,

Oh poor tail, it is having a bit of trouble. Does it seem to be bothering him at all?
As suggested, you can use raw honey, silver gel or antibiotic ointment like the neosporin
mentioned. Keeping it clean will help a lot too. Hopefully it wont get any worse. Did he
have trouble shedding?

Hello,

Ok, well hopefully her spine will heal up. If there is still a little pain, she will be apprehensive about
using her legs. Hopefully soon she will. Since she does have feeling in them there shouldn't be any
reason why she wouldn't start using them again.
At least her scales are starting to grow back on her tail now, that is terrific news! We are hoping for a
full recovery for her. Keep us posted on her progress.

I have an update! So the end of her tail did fall off tonight actually while I was soaking it and it looks good no bleeding or anything and Khalessi seems find about it but oh my goodness you would not believe how big of a bowel movement she had while I was soaking her tail I had her kind of standing up and she was willing her bottom like she was dancing but then it ALL came out I have a min pin and it was probably the size of my min pins bowel movements it was A LOT shes trying to stand on her back legs now so im gonna say she definitely needed to get that out!

Hello,

That is terrific her tail is looking good, despite the end of it falling off. At least it isn't infected,
so she shouldn't be in any pain or stress.
It does sound like she was a bit backed up then. Hopefully her leg strength will start to drastically
improve!
Please keep us posted on her progress.

Yes her tail is healing nicely but there is something else I need help with shes done this for a while now she goes into the corner of the tank and turns her body and tries to run and purposely flips herself over and when I go to help her flip back over she does it herself ive tried taking her out to see if maybe she just wants attention but its an every day thing and has been for a while now and when im at work I get worried shes gonna flip herself over on purpose and she knows what shes doing because she keeps doing it and checks to see if im watching.

Hello,

Wow that is very strange. She is flipping herself onto her back? I doubt that is for attention, but
that is concerning. Is she getting adequate UVB lighting & calcium supplementation right now?
How many times daily does she do this or is that impossible to determine?
Maybe you could attempt to get a video of it?

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
