Beardie not eating nor drinking. Seems lethargic.

Hello, I'm fairly new to this site but I have been in desperate need of some answers. My beardie, Scarlet, possibly 3-5 months old hasn't been eating ever since the first day I got her here for 2 weeks now. She looks weak and lethargic. Something I'm very new to compared to my other beardie who seems very healthy and happy. I took her to the vet last weekend for the same reason and because she had little blood in her stool (no parasites luckily) and I've offered her veggies, crickets and worms. Now I've resulted to giving her syringe feeding because she won't drink water anymore like she used to esp when I took her for warm bathes. I'm sorry everyone but this is my current setup for her now. She was healthy from the way she looked initially when I got her. I was told to let her settle in from the vet but she looks so skinny and not as strong which concerns me. Luckily she's breathing and moves here and there slowly aside from closing her eyes here and there. Please if anyone has an answer for this it'd be appreciated. Thank you again. I have a Reptisub 10.0 UVB, repti Basking Spot lamp 75w

Your uvb is likely the problem, those coil/compact uvb lights are garbage. Please get a 24 inch long tube, today if possible. If you get a t5 10.0 the distance should be 12 to 15 inches, if you get a t8 it needs to be 8 to 10. Please measure the temps with a digital probe thermometer. Basking for a baby needs to be between 105 and 110 degrees. That baby is sick, you need to do this asap.
I'm hoing yo flag karrie, please work with her on your setup she is very good at getting it right.

Please get the uvb coil replaced as soon as you can - you can check PetSmart if you have one near you for a 24watt Arcadia pro T 5 w a 12% bulb or go on line www.petmountain.com for a 24" zoo med fixture w/ a 22" reptisun 10.0 T 5 - distance and placement will be determined by your screen- please get the dragon off the floor - please drop water on her nose to see if she will lick do this till she quits - please make sure your getting surface basking temps w/ a digital probe thermometer- they should be 105-110 +- this is crucial to the health of your dragon - when you get the uvb post back on here I will help you get it set up

Thank you for your feedback. I'm gonna try and get to the store as soon as possible. Would an Arcadia be good?
Yes they are good lights, i use them in all my setups.

Poor thing does look sick, at least she's taking some nutrition from a syringe though. I'm sure this is more than just a uvb problem, where did you get her from ? Are there 2 heat bulbs on the tank ? Just to be sure it's not too hot.

I got her from an expo (other beardie as well). She was moving around when I got her but I put the Arcadia UVB there for her. I am to blame for her wrong lighting. My older beardie was somewhat of my reference and he grew differently but as know all beardies are different. She started opening her mouth and regulating her temp so that's a good thing. I really appreciate the help everyone. I feel terrible about it but will make sure to change these things as soon as possible for the future.

Don't beat yourself up, there is a learning curve. Once you get it right it will get easier. At least you are responsible enough to come get help, to many are not.

I have one for my other beardie but I was saving up for a stand. The stores are closed currently. I will get the UVB light immediately after work

Thank you I will get that Arcadia light first thing after work tomorrow.
Let me know when you get it so I can help you get it placed correctly for your tank - the screen will determine where it needs to go

Thank you for your help but last night I immediately brought her to the ER and I was too late... I should've been more wary of those lights. I bought those new bulbs after I first got her thinking that she'd be fine for a few weeks because i used those domes and lights from my older beardie. I'm very sorry. I should've been more aware. You don't know how much this means to me to really get some quick answers and I've been with her literally aside from work from day to night just researching constantly.

I am so sorry to hear about your baby--- it is so heartbreaking when things like this happen- please ask if you need anymore help later on if you get another dragon --

I'm so sorry about little Scarlett, my heart goes out to you. It wasn't your fault or your lights at all. Any dragon that goes downhill from day 1 was most likely sick when you got it. A beardie vendor at an expo may raise all their own, none of their own or swap with other breeders for a variety. Unfortunately you probably got one that was already sick. My condolences to you. Don't use any of the tank decor for your other dragon.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
