I’m not 100% sure because I’ve never seen this in person but it could be tail rot from looking at similar pictures online. This needs to be treated as it can affect the whole tail and could be fatal. I would get it looked at by the vet. So sorry, I hope I’m wrong!!

Yes it is tail rot, it may have affected even further up from the shriveled area. It may be best to have that amputated up at least 1/4 inch past the shriveled area. You can do it at home with a very sharp sterilized box cutter, knife or pair of scissors if you can't find a vet. Beardies don't have a lot of feeling in their tail and recover very well and quickly from end tail amputation.

Hello,

Definitely some issues there. Until you can get him to the vets, you can start putting some raw honey
on the area, just to help. They will need to take some of the tail off, but shouldn't be too much. As
AHBD stated, they usually recover pretty well from small amputations.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
