Okay. Are you sure it is alright to wait for a new UVB? Does it absolutely have to be the one you listed?
No but the one I listed is going to save you money in the long run being hes in a 20 gallon tank --- another is is the Arcadia Pro T 5 w/ a 12% bulb but its going to be too strong for your 20 gallon tank as they need a 12-15 inch distance - good for the 120 but not so much for the 20 gallon --- you could buy two different UVB's but I dont think you want to do that --- the 24" Zoo Med is going to be good for your 20 gallon now w/ the 5.0 bulb -- you can upgrade the bulb when you move him to the 120 gallon --- hes going to be fine doing the outside UVB -- its really good for him

I went back upstairs to see them flipped on it’s side with dark spots on their belly. They are closing both of their eyes pretty often. I am absolutely terrified. I took them out again and we are currently sitting in the sun right now. I know that it is said that dragons need to get 12 hours of UVB rays and they can’t go 2 days without them. How much time total everyday should I sit with my dragon outside?

This does not sound good --- post a pic of him -- please shut the coil off if you havent already--- he can get as much UVB outside as you can sit w/ him --- 15 minutes is good direct sunlight but 30 min better - what is he doing while in the sun? I dont want you to over heat him -- so if you can do it intervals that would be good -- he needs at least 4 hours of basking time per day but babies usually bask longer like all day -- please get a pic of him and offer him water -- dropping on his nose ---

They drank some water, and I’m noticing some shed coming off of their leg. I spent some time outside and some in the shade. I’ve put them back in their enclosure.

Is this what hes doing in the sun---- this is not a good sign --- keep offering water every day -- and getting him in the sun as well --- place him under his basking lamp please --- he needs the UVA as well --- please keep a close eye on him --- we dont want him flipping on his back --- please make up a slurry of greens w water and calcium D3 like a pinch -- also add some crickets in there and feed by spoon first then if hes not licking it you may need to use a syringe -- we need to keep his strength up --- feed like 1/2 teasp if he licks or as much as he will --- you will haft to get a new blender if you use crickets in it -- please do this right away

They keep flipping on their back. I’m on the verge of taking them back where I got them. I am heartbroken, I wasn’t told the right things, I was misinformed by the people who sold them to me.

Where did you get him from? Please do not take him back if a pet store all they will do is put him in the back and let him die --- he will suffer --- please get some food into him if you can -- hes got a neurological issue going on w/ the flipping on the back - he needs to stay upright as they cannot breath on their backs we need some others to help I am flagging your post ---
please see if you can get him to eat -- add the calcium D3 --- a pinch into the slurry --- the neurological issue is caused from calcium defiencey w/ the lack of UVB ----

Poor little guy, do you know the exact temperature in the tank ? Sorry if I missed it. Your handling him had zero to do with his health problems, this was caused before you got him unless you have had him at too high of a temp. Getting in the sun is good but not even in a plastic container if your temps are above 80 because the plastic gets too hot. Just set him in the grass with you since he's not able to get away anyhow. It's your choice about returning him but it would be nice if you could get him to better health. Hydration is important too so try to keep that up. You can definitely handle him for necessary things like that. I hope he responds to the uvb , proper temps. and hydration. He may have other issues going on though.

Hi, sorry for not saying anything for awhile but I ended up taking her back. She was in my care for less than 24 hours, and when we did take her back it was then discovered she was born with Lizard Flu. The lady there who was in charge of reptile health (who wasn’t there the day I got her; I wish she was) had 3 beardies of her own and apologized endlessly. She said she could treat her and if she’s back to full health I could go and get her.. but honestly? I found a reputable breeder here in town and I think I’m going to go that route. My heart aches that I couldn’t do more for her even though I tried everything I could and did almost everything right. Thank you and @KarrieRee for all of your help, I do appreciate it. I’m still under 18 and with heavy anxiety problems so I was in a stressed, crying frenzy all day long. I really really hope Cheeto returns to full health and someday goes home to a lovely family. For now, this account will lay dormant until I find my new beardie and this time I will have a fully decked out 120 gallon tank, with the right UVB, ready for them. Thank you again! <3

Please make sure you sanitize the tank w/ F10- you do not want to spread this to the new dragon- I would use the 20 gallon for a baby - the 120 is going to be too big for a baby-

I found an older juvenile male today, he’s a white hypo dunner and absolutely beautiful. The uvb is here, just waiting on the tank and the new basking light so I can go pick up my new baby.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
