Swollen leg

My bearded dragon's back leg has been swollen for several weeks now. She had shed that was stuck to her leg which made me think that was the reason for the swelling but the shed came off last week and her leg is still very swollen. She doesn't seem in pain, she still runs around and jumps just fine.

Are you using a hammock in the tank ? What UVB are you using? coil or a long tube fixture?

Yes, she has a hammock under her basking lamp which is 100 watts. A long tube fixture UVB 75 watt that fits across her 40 gallon tank.
Ok please post a pic of the UVB -- most people use a 24 watt Reptisun 10.0 T 5 or a Arcadia Pro T 5 w/a 12% bulb --- the hammock could be the cause of the injury - is it a green mesh or a grass type hammock?

I would say the hammock is more like a grass type.
The third photo is what kind of UVB light she has.

Ok so the grass hammock could be the cause of the injury -- she more than likely snagged a nail and pulled - very common w/ these hammocks - if you want to stay w / a hammock please get a fleece or cloth one -
www.etsy.com search bearded dragons - or Pampered Beardies
the T 8 needs a hood / fixture --- I would however upgrade to a T 5 here is a link for you so you can either order or look - for a 40 + gallon tank a 24" Zoo Med ReptiSun T5 HO Hood this comes w/ a 5.0 bulb its like what your using now but you want a 10.0 T 5
22" Zoo Med ReptiSun 10.0 UVB T5 HO
or look at your Pet Smart if you have one for this
24 watt Arcadia ProT5 12% UVB Bulb With Hood you want the 12% bulb
if you get the T 5 it can sit on top of the screen BUT the screen will determine that -- I can help you place it when and if you replace it - the T 8 your using needs to be directly over the basking decor piece 6-8 inches w NO screen and should be replaced in approx 6 months I recommend 5 from date of install

Okay Thank you. Do you know what I could do to help with the swelling?

Your UVB is going to help heal that leg --- that is why I was asking all the questions --- take the hammock out that you have for now and replace it if you want to -- you dont want her re-snagging the leg again it will eventually heal on its own but you want that UVB up to good standards -- it will heal on its own --

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
