So we got 2 beardies 3 days ago (Saturday) and his second poop had an orange color to it but we decided it was probably fine as it was only one poop. but today it looks like it might have mucus and we're worried about parasites. when he pooped it wasn't normal as he was sitting on his little log and it was more of shot out. here is him and the poop

Poop looks good ---- its when its really runny and smell to high heaven is when to be concerned w/ parasites --- your not keeping both dragons together are you?

It is pretty runny is the problem. and I'm not sure about smell covid messed mine up awhile ago haha. and no I'm not keeping them together. they are both kept in 20 gallons but we should have new tanks within a few days. 40 gallon most likely

Ok I would go to a bigger tank than a 40 --- optimal is 120 gallon but a 75 will work --- I would look at these websites for tanks -
www.zenhabitats.com
or you can try looking on fb marketplace for used tanks or craigslist --
the smell is going to be bad enough to drive you out of the room --- please make sure your UVB is up to par NO coils they are inadequate and you are using digital probe thermometers for surface basking temps --- a good solid clear bright white basking bulb --- NO daytime bulbs please no colored bulbs please -- if you need more help please ask --- I think the poop looks fine now it will change w/ diet changes etc ---

My mother (whos dragon it is) just confirmed it smelled really bad. and we are definitely getting bigger than 40s but they are currently babies so we'll probably do a 40 right now.

Ok so I would recommend then you get a fecal and take it in to the vet for a test--- please do not have the vet do a enema they often end in disaster --
sounds good on the tanks -- they will outgrow the 40 pretty quickly tho --- you can keep them in that size over a year but I do recommend you upgrade as soon as you can after that

good to know! how would we bring fecal matter? does it have to be fresh? my beardie (4-month-old) poop looks like that as well today. which it never has before. It seems almost like the poop is covered in the skin of green pepper but translucent. the vet closes near the time our beardies poop.

Just use a platic spoon or popsicle stick ect. to scoop it into a ziplock baggy. The vet generally wants it within 24 hours.

within 24 hours and at room temp is what our vet requests. we have to drive 2 hours to get there, so we keep it in a moist paper towel in a ziplock so it doesn't dry out.

we're going to the vet on Monday as that's the earliest they could get us in! wish us luck!

I understand they’re babies but going to 120 now will save sooo much money. And tbh they more space the better. Thas what they love.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
