My bearded dragon has what I presume to be yellow fungus, a ring around the end of his tail was a strong yellow. I immediately set up a very appointment. Since the appointment was so far out, I decided to take measures into my own hands while we waited. I started putting some antibacterial cream on his tail once a day. After just under a week, he shed the affected area, and now instead of yellow his tail is white, he is not a white bearded dragon. Should I be concerned or is this part of the healing process?

That was my first thought but would there be shed under shed? Because he just shed over that whole area, including the sections that are white
Yes is it real thick --- my dragon just did the same thing on his back and it took a long time for it to come off -- I let it do its thing giving a bath 2 times per week and spraying it down in the tank - it has finally came off along w/ his belly -- that didnt take as long

Hello,

It is definitely shed, but looks like it is pretty thick. Sometimes they either retain shed or it just
builds up & ends up shedding with other parts of the body.
You can get some coconut oil or shea butter to put on the tail to help promote the shedding.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
