Hey ! My tank just gets a little to cool at night I have ordered ceramic heat emiter bulb in the mail but until then I have a 100w black light trive bulb is this okay !? I heard the red ones can be extremely harmful to your baby’s eyes so I want to make sure the black light doesn’t do the same as the red

beardies need it cooler and dark at night. you are correct that red is bad. the black lights shouldn't be used either.

the ceramic heat emitter is good for night time, but you only need to use one if night time temps are getting down to about 65°. above that is just fine.

Thank you so much ! I was worried because his tank was just under 70 when I woke up but it looks like he’s in the perfect temp for at night ! I’ll but those ceramic bulbs away for winter season just in case ! :)

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
