Does your beardie beg like a dog?

Rocky comes to the tank every morning and begs for her roaches like a dog and I don't like it. We have our morning routine and after obtaining fresh water and veggies, she comes to the glass and looks at me then looks at my hands. I play dumb like "WHATTTT???!!" I then push her veggies closer and Rocky went to the area where I place her 2nd bowl with the roaches and looked down, looked at me- I couldn't believe it.
I didn't give in ....for an hour. Rocky can't be the only one who does this.
What do I do (besides give in)?

Also, I want to skip a couple of days with the roaches because I gut loaded them and I don't want her to have the calcium every day. Lesson learned- separate some of them.

Mines does this but go ahead and feed her. She’s ready to eat as soon as her lights come. What I do lay pieces of greens around in the spots that I know she be and during the course of the day she eat them. I forgot the age of your beardie but unless advised I wouldn’t stop. I only went to a 2x a week with my oldest because the vet advised it.

I agree with rango, as long as they are still growing they need protein every day. Once they reach their size potential you can scale back on protein. At that point they will start to fill out more.

Rocky also mimics my behavior. If I lay down directly in front of Rocky, she thinks it means "rest time." Rocky will lay in her "resting part" of the hammock. Rocky was playing in her habitat and I usually sit in front of her and engage but I was exhausted. I noticed the 1 or 2 times that I laid down in front of her, she would lay down. This time was the most dramatic because Rocky was way across the tank and playing; Rocky looked at me, stopped playing and immediately ran across to her "resting spot." It was the cutest thing. I felt bad that she stopped playing but I was too tired to get up to engage, LOL

As Rocky is still small, she uses 2 corners of her hammock for different purposes- 1- that she goes to when she wants me to get her out and 1- to rest (the same area that she basks in all day).

Does anyone have any similar stories?

My girlfriends dragon goes crazy when she see her. She scratches, glass surfs, stands up on the doors really anything she can think of to get my girlfriend to get her out. If i go over to actually get her out. She stops and just looks at me. More times than not she head for her hide. The girlfriend can walk right over and she is right back to going crazy. ....... never mind I'm the one that feeds her, cleans up her poo's ect lol

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
