I put my baby bearded dragon in a bath because he was shedding and he started trying to swim/try to climb out of it and then he just stopped and sinked his head in the water and then I drained some of the water out thinking I put too much in and when I put him back in a realized his stomach was sucked in and he wasn’t moving his arms or legs so I thought he was dead but when I try to put him on his back he moves his back and whips his tail in protest, he’s also slowing breathing and his eyes are closed majority of the time. I don’t know what to do please help

Many babies are stressed when you soak them , might never had a bath before. Whatever the case you don't need to bathe them unless they are dirty. You can offer water by dripping it very slowly on their snout using a syringe or spray bottle.

He’s had one bath before and he didn’t freak out he just started drinking the water this is his second bath since I got him and I was told your supposed to bathe them 3-4 times a week when their shedding. He’s barely breathing and not moving much.

Get him under his basking lights+ what is your surface basking temp? It needs to be taken w/ a digital probe thermometer- and your uvb what type coil or long tube fixture

I have had him under his UVB strip since this morning I didn’t want to put him under his heating lamp in case he got too hot because he wouldn’t be able to move away to cool down because he’s not moving his arms or legs.

Can we ask the obvious question here?
How hot was the water? Was it to hot for you to keep your hand in it comfortably? If its to hot to keep your hand in it its friggen going to be deadly for them. Im sorry if i coming off harsh, but scalding or killing a baby dragon or any animal for that matter is inexcusable.

I use a bath thermometer for mine, like what you use in a human baby bath, and I make it same temp I'd put my toddler in. Seems to be fine for my beardie.

There could of other things going on w/ the dragon at the time of the bath - where did you get him from? I need to know the screen on the tank -- I dont know if its going to make a difference w/ him but it sure could not hurt getting him under the UVB ---

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
