Im looking for anyones experiences with Deep Heat Projection bulbs from Arcadia? I could either mount it in the enclosure or on top of the screen. Curious to hear if anyone else has done this. I could set it next to the basking bulb to let my dragon decide which she prefers.

I also have gone down the rabbit hole of LED bars for the entire enclosure to brighten it up. My dragon RARELY leaves her basking spot and goes to the "shaded" side. It is pretty dark over there so just curious if anyone has added the LED bar and noticed their dragon "hunt" or spend more time roaming around?

I run a Arcadia jungle dawn led and yes my dragon seems to like it better. More stimulated and seemed happier than before adding it. Adds to the spectrum of lighting they see as well. Deep heat projectors are also great to use. They put off IRA and IRB regular bulbs don’t do this. It penetrates to the tissue. Alongside a regular bask bulb it is a great addition. I use one to supplement heat to my tank when needed. Temps are warming though here so I haven’t been lately. On top or inside is up to you, if you have the way to Mount lights you can have lower wattage bulbs. On top of mesh you will need stronger bulbs. Also mesh with uvb will block up to 30%. Hope this helped, basically the dhps are great and Arcadia jungle dawn led bar is my go to for better lighting. I also have a 4 x 2 x 2 it’s a PVC enclosure and I have all my stuff mounted inside and Arcadia 50 watt Halogen floodlight, Arcadia T5 12% UVB, With Arcadia jungle dawn led bar. Supplemented with a 50 w dhp.

I use the DHE too, my girl loves sitting beneath it. She even seems to prefer it over the halogen (I've put my hand under both and surprisingly the DHE seems more targeted and powerful)

I was using a DHP and CHE for heat and just the UVB for light for a bit and my guy loved it, but I noticed without the extra light he started getting a little lazier and spent more time in his hammock even though the overall temps were actually a bit higher. He wasn't lethargic or anything, moved just fine when he wanted to, just less often. I still use the DHP for his main basking spot but have a 100W ExoTerra bulb for the middle of the cage now. He does spend most of his basking time under the DHP still. When the ExoTerra goes I'll probably switch to a halogen. I imagine it would have worked great if I had the Jungle Dawn or another light source like that. It really is interesting how much difference that makes. I even notice that he is more active when the light in the room is on vs off.

Amazon most definitely has all these things. The JungleDawn LEDs I buy from reptilebasics.com, which is a great site for alot of things..... and they actually carry Arcadia bask and deep heat projectors at most local petcos and PetSmart's now, (if you don't want to mess with shipping and what not.)

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
