So I got a hatchling bearded dragon and currently using a 20-gallon long tank. it doesn't have a door as I want it to but we didn't have anything else. When my beardie gets older and needs a bigger tank should I just go straight to the biggest tank she will need (like an adult-sized one. and what sized should I get for adults?) or slowly move up to a bigger one because I don't know if ill have the money for all the in-betweens

She's going to be out if the 20 gallon before she's a year old - I recommend getting a 75 or 120 gallon tank - you can look in FB market place or Craigslist - make sure you disinfectant the tank real good if you find one there-- we can also recommend places to get new

I would definitely go for the forever one next. Otherwise you'll be buying a new one within probably 6 months that he will outgrow in another 6 months to a year.

yep thats what we have decided to do :) We have decided to build one and for the back of the tank we're gonna put wood that she can't splinter herself on. will that work?

Sounds good. Hardwood plywood works, sealed with low/no VOC polyurethane and cured until there is no more smell. No softwood like cedar or pine, they are toxic to beardies. If you want something that she can climb on, ZooMed makes some cork tiles that work well and can be installed pretty easily. A lot of people use aquarium silicone to permanently attach them, but I actually used Command picture hanging strips so they can be removed for cleaning. My dude used to sleep up there before I switched his UVB to a stronger bulb. No need to get that close to the light anymore I guess lol.

You need a 4’L x 2’H x2’D PVC enclosure. Sliding doors on the front
(Not a tank glass enclosure, Those are for Fish. Glass does not hold heat well.)
This size can be your Dragons Final home. Yes big for a little one. some people will get these and put a divider in it to block off one side limiting space until they are a bit larger. Your Baby will be full size @ 12-18 Months.

A good one is from

I have been eyeing one that is black from 4’x2’x2’ Reptile Enclosure (120 Gallon) | Dubia.com

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
