I’m genuinely so confused because of this but since like late February maybe early March my bearded dragon has had a weird appetite. He would usually eat like 30 crickets and still want more but now he eats 5-15 and doesn’t want anymore? I’m not super sure how old he is but I’m estimating like maybe 7-8 months since he is 18 inches long (including tail) also before he would poop small poops everyday but now he doesn’t poop for like 3 days and then on the fourth day I come back to 3 poops combined into a huge one. Should I schedule a vet appointment? It was irresponsible for me to wait this long, I know it was but he seems okay in every other way so that is what made me less worried. He's energetic and alert so he seems normal but this is my first dragon and I’m confused. i attached a recent picture just incase you wanna see him! He was a little grey there because he started shedding like 2 days after.

that sounds pretty normal to me. as they get older they eat less protein and poop less often. at almost 2 years old, ours eats like 3-5 roaches 3x a week and poops anywhere from every week to every couple of weeks.

Are you feeding salads or worms?

He gets Salads everyday always kale based but different fruits/veggies everytime. They always have multivitamins and calcium on them. He gets worms occasionally and he loves them
That's a good reason for less bug consumption- his pooping is normal

he doesn’t eat the full Salad most of the time, a few bites of the kale and then most of the fruit/veggie on top
My beardie went through that too. Turns out she was just picky with her veggies (she would only eat 1-2 leaves of mustard green before backing away, but would eat as many blueberries as she could get her hands on). Could be pickiness, but I don't guarantee it. How often are you bathing him?

2 times a week, I’m not sure if it should be more or less. This week he has been shedding so I’ve bathed him 4 times to help him get it off

Too much bathing will dry their scales out- I would let the shed do it's thing- when it gets dry and crackly mist him in the tank take a soft baby toothbrush and gently brush the loose shed

Kale is not a good staple, like spinach it is a calcuim binder. Collard, mustard,or turnip green are better base staple. Fruits should be treats.

Further studies were done on kale and it was found that it is a better feeder than collards

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
