Actually I just saw the pick of the Angel you have it at as long as both uva and uvb meet at basking point. Try to give toothless more places to get out from the uvb like shaded areas. Hammocks are great for this they will lay under them

Your uvb and decor placement is good now right ? you have 12-15inches directly under the light right? And you want it running long ways on the tank. Next to bask light. If your uvb and temps are good just give toothless sometime. The black beard may just be from alot of changes and stress has been made as of lately. When toothless is use to things how they are and proper uv for the d3 cycle toothless will come around.
Well her beard wasn’t really black it was more her whole body just got darker, I think someone in here telling me I would know she’s getting the rays she needs if she turns dark and was just making sure I understood what they meant.. these are what the temps are during the day inside the tank the cool side usually stays around 77-81 the whole day and at night the whole tank is around 80, the basking light hasn’t been moved at all so it’s around 100-105, 107 was the highest number I got the one day

I’m gonna get a hammock I just have to find one that isn’t too big most the ones at the pet store closest that were smaller were out of stock the other day been checking on the app to see availability.. and she’s been laying on the plants in the middle to get her rays and then she wil usually come to the cool side to just stare and wait for me to look in there at her.. I put another place for her to hide more in the middle and she has like rock stairs she can go under and climb up so she can see out the glass and see me on the bed😂I think it’s so cute cuz it seems like she just waits for me to look in there and talk to her cuz she surfs a little looking at my direction and as soon as I’m visible it’s calm… I really appreciate you guys taking time to help me and I’m glad your family is loving beardies as much as you are, I will be posting monthly updates on for all the people who helped me so they can see what they’re help did for me and toothless she’s reallly starting to get used to things I think and I hope she’ll like the nutri grubs as a staple feeder cuz as much as she likes chasing her food I think she prefers to be fed right now.

I was looking at your basking bulb is it giving off a yellow hue or is it the pic or the back ground making it look like it is yellowish? Also please get a piece of decor directly below the UVB -- the distance is too far for her -- for a T 5 it should be 12-15 inches w/ no screen -- please get a hammock that is made of of cloth or fleece - the mesh ones are dangerous for the dragon most get their nails caught on them then they end up spraining the leg foot or snagging the tail and making it swollen -- www.etsy.com or www.pamperedbeardies.com try those websites --

I guess it may be giving a yellowish tone, the bulb I’m using is the one you recommended at first the 75 watt intense basking bulb.. and she lays on this plant that is under the uvb when she starts turning dark to absorb the rays sometimes she lays at the bottom on the leaf part which is probably around 13 inches from the light and around when she gets tired she climbs up further which is closer to the bulb but it’s also usually after lights out when she goes that close

I agree with the hammock thing they do get nails caught. You can’t get the tank any cooler around nighttime?
Really depends on weather tho recently it’s been getting really warm for a couple days then back to kinda chilly out when it’s warm the whole day the temp in the tank stays like 80

they really only need it around 80 at night if they are sick. regular times they like it cooler and you would only need the CHE if it gets below 65ish. i keep my house thermostat at 66 at night which has my enclosure right about 70 first thing in the morning.

that pampered beardies website KarrieRee suggested is a great site. i don't have a hammock, but have ordered travel blankets from them. great customer service and fast as far as shipping time went. if i was going to get a hammock it would definitely be from them.

once it gets to like under 75 I leave the emitter on but not too close for it to be hot just for the ambient temp to stay around 80-85 through the night
Temps are too warm for night time- please leave the heat emitter off if the tank is 75 before your turning lights out - too warm of temps at night can cause a RI - dragons like it cool and dark at night it helps them metabolize their systems - your temps in the tank throughout are 80's besides the basking side? You want temps 80's cool side daytime middle of your tank 90's and the basking surface temps 105-110 for a baby and ambient around the basking side can be in the 90's --

Ok so the vine is fine for now --- as she gets older she will not be able to climb on it so just saying-- ok it must be the background or camera giving off the yellow -- your good :)

That’s what I thought you said that a couple days ago but then it started getting too cold so had it get up to 80 then turn off for the night.. and if I want the middle and stuff to go up would I use the emitter from the far distance?? And phew I thought I had the wrong bulb again.. I feel like it’s a mixture of the uvb, the background, the glass and the camera all making it look kinda yellow..

The only part of the tank during the day should be 80's cool side - the other temps in the tank should be warmer -- you can place another dome in the middle of the tank w/ a lower wattage like even a regular house hold bulb of 60 watt might get the temps up to what you want -- or you can get a basking bulb of 50-75 wattage - you dont want temps of 80 at night too warm UNLESS hes sick then thats when you want those warmer temps --

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
