Crystals in urate

My 3 year old dragon had a BM today and I noticed his urate looked different and has crystals in it. I have been syringe watering him as of late, because 1 week ago he had very very dry stools and urate. He does not eat alot of greens. He eat his feeder insects good. I have been trying to cut back on bugs to get him to eat more greens. He is stubborn. He is otherwise, active and basks with a temp of about 98-99. His ambient is about 82-83 and his cool side is 72-73. We live in Florida, so he gets alot of outdoor time on the sunshiney days. He has a 4x2x2 Zen Habitat. His basking bulbs in 150w and 50w. He has a Reptisun 10.0 tube UVB. His temps are measured with a laser gun.
He had a vet wellness visit in December with fecal and labs and was given a clean bill of health. His feeder insects are discoids, crickets, BSFL, wax and superworms.

Hi there -- regarding the crystals in the urate what are you feeding for supplements and how often? I am gonna have someone else look but to me I am thinking too much calcium-- are you getting surface basking temps? those would need to be taken w/ a digital probe thermometer for best accurate temps- the cool side the tank is too cool I would work on getting it up to 80's during the day right now you have them set for night time temps-- the laser gun is good but please get a couple of digital probe thermometers they can be found at Pet Smart or Petco -- place the probe on the spot he sits for basking 10 min or so get the temp -- 95-100- how does he like the BSFL ? I would start putting them on top of his salads as many as you want - use them as lures to the salad bowl https://www.amazon.com/MACGOAL-Rept...uGQB&pd_rd_wg=tLkwE&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_d
these are really good for keeping the worms in -- add those super worms as well on top of the salads let him see you do this -- it will entice him to that bowl -- you can try getting some silkworms as well another good staple feeder same thing add in front of him - they stick to everything -- see if that works -- does he drink from the bath water? If so bathe him about every 10 days - or you can add water on his nose by dripping or eye dropper --

Thank you for responding. He gets his bugs dusted with a calcium supplement from Flukers. He gets his bugs 3 times a week. But I have been trying to hold off on them to get him to eat his salads. I admit, I spoiled him with too many bugs when we first adopted him.
Regarding his cool side, I will use his CHE to raise the temps of his cool side. I just brought some digital probe thermometers too. He seems to like the BSFL. I put the bugs in and add greens and he will sometimes get a bite or 2 of greens while he tries to get worms. I have a special worm bowl, but he is not a real enthusiastic eater and seems to have poor depth perception, so unless I fill it to the rim, if he does not see them moving he wont even try to eat them. He has had silkworms too, but finding a steady supplier has been hard. When I do see someone has them I try to order some.
He does not drink from bath. When I place the syringe in the side of his mouth he eventually opens his mouth and starts lapping it up. It is really hard to get a schedule of dusting with his pickiness. I have tried bee pollen, different fruits and veggies to entice him. I fear I created a picky eater with feeding too many bugs in the beginning.

Hello,

You can also try using some canned pumpkin or sugar free apple sauce, to help increase the fiber
intake. You can drizzle it on top of the greens if he doesn't eat his greens much, that might help to
entice him some. If not, then you can try dropping some slurry onto the end of his nose.
A lot of them tend to get picky with their vegetation but hopefully he will eventually learn to eat them
more as he gets older.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
