Hi! I have a beardie named King Norbert who is about 5 years ago, I adopted him last year. He is a great boy, loves to run and jump around and is my best friend. However, he has been acting really weird for the past week. Last Thursday, I realized that one of his heat lamps fell into his cage. I quickly fixed it after noticing, it couldn't have been more than 10 minutes in there, but the tank definitely got hot and Norbert seemed taken aback from it. However, he was still running normally and eating so I figured he was fine and wasn’t hurt in the fall.
But the fall did cause me to rearrange how I set up his tank. So for the next 3/4 days he dealt with me daily switching things around to get the best lighting / heat set up. I know that can be a lot of relocation stress for the little man, however I did not add anything new into the tank, just switched two things. While that was happening, he was glass surfing and digging. Normally he glass surfs when he needs to poop or wants to come out to play but this was a lot more than that. He then started black bearding at me and slightly puffing up. And 2 days ago he pulled up the reptile carpet for him to sleep under in the corner of the cage. And insects or treats won’t bring him out. (Picture for context)
I know it’s not brumation because he woke up from brumation a month ago. Is this relocation stress? Or is there something more going on? I’m really nervous. Before this happened I had finally gotten him eating his greens too
😭

Husbandry information:
-75 gallon tank, 2 75 watt basking lights, humidity between 20-30%, a brand new t5 UVB light, basking has various spots between 95-105 surface temp, cool side is between 78-81, everything is monitored with IRR thermometer gun or a probe thermometer
Pictures for cutentess, to see the set up, and see him hiding in the corner

Ok from all the rearranging of the decor and lights and the light falling into the tank it sounds like it has traumatized him a little bit -- give him some time to readjust and see what he does --

Should I continue to offer him insects everyday? I normally hand feed him the crickets but its difficult to with him in the corner and I don't want to leave them in there in case they bite him / it gets annoying at night

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
