So I'm just paranoid but my 1.5 year old beardie lately has been acting lethargic, basically he doesn't run around and act crazy like he used to and he mostly just lazes around under his basking spot all day and falls asleep early. Weird thing is though that he still really wants to eat his bugs (not so much his salads though). When I take him out of his tank he just slowly wanders around and doesn't really want to go anywhere. Does this sound like brumination behavior? I've heard they sometimes just slow down and don't sleep during brumination so could that be what this is? and how long does it typically last?
4x2x2 viv with 100 deg basking spot 80 deg cool side with reptisun 10 T5 inside the cage 12 inches from basking spot.

Its a slow down period for them --- mine have been lazing around not eating a whole lot but still basking etc and doing a lot of sleeping - just keep an eye on him offer him his food and if hes not eating salads now make sure the bugs are good and gutloaded and you might want to offer him water every 10 days or so --- keep track of his weight too --- weigh in grams on a kitchen food scale - I would weigh him when offering water to him --- your UVB bulb is not expired correct ---?

Thanks, sounds like it's just winter slow down then. Maybe I'll do horn worms for a while then to keep him hydrated. His UVB is only a month old so should still be good. Just out of curiosity when do yours start to come out of it, is it not util spring?

February--- not sure about Blaze yet --- Hiccup starts glass surfing in February drives me crazy -- he will do that for about 3 weeks or so --- I dont know why -- he will start then all of sudden stop --- his tank is plenty big 4x2x2 and lighting is all good so I know its none of that hes going on 4 and has done this every year since he was 1 --- so I know what to expect Blaze not sure yet this is his first year w/ the brumation / lazy thing

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
