I’ve recently rescued a 3 year old bearded dragon that spent its whole life in a 20g Viv with no heat lights. I’ve moved into a 40g viv because it was the biggest I could find with a 75watt basking light, uvv and a 75watt night light for heat. I feed her 10 crickets and 1 super worm a day with reptive and calcium powder. I’ve had her for about 2 weeks now and have kept all the same stuff from her old viv into her new one so she dosnt get to stressed. However after all of this my bearded has surfed the glass so much her nose is starting to become raw. I’ve read countless of forums and I’ve tried everything but nothing is working. I’m starting to think it might be a medical issue which is concerning to me. I’ll attach a picture of her body and her face. If there is a medial problem visible please let me know because I’m running out of ideas. Oh yeah and I keep her tank at around 80 with 35% humidity but I’m using a dual tempature humidity gauge from Petco so idk how accurate.

OH YEAH I forgot to mention her old owners were feeding her 8 super worms a day.
ok so you need to get her basking temps in order first they need to be 95-100 taken w/ a digital probe thermometer place the probe where she sits for basking wait 10 min then get the temp it does not need to stay there check every 10 days or so get 2 of these one for the cool side of the tank and one for the basking side Zoo Med Digital Thermometer
Basking bulb needs to be a CLEAR bright white basking bulb found at Petsmart Exo Terra® Intense Basking Spot Light | reptile Bulbs & Lamps | PetSmart start w/ a 100 watt bulb but you need correct basking temps for her to start digestion---- NO colored bulbs NO day time bulbs and NO off white or yellowish bulbs ---- 80 is good for the cool side of the tank during the day but basking temps 95-100 --- what are you using for a UVB NO coils please --- she wont live w/ out a good UVB and coils are inadequte! Please tell me what you have so I can help --- she needs fresh salads every day Nutrition Content ignore the kale thing its a good staple feeder
Staple feeder insects should be crickets dubia roaches silk worms or BSFL I recommend dubia roaches they are the easiest to care for - you can set up a 10 gallon aquarium order 200 or so for now www.dubiaroaches.com feed dubia food and dubia dew they will also eat fruit squash and carrots dont feed the dragon carrots if your feeding the roaches too much Vit A --- your dragon also needs Calcium D 3 dust the roaches lightly every time you feed the insects which should be 2-3 times / week for adult -- w / her not having UVB I am guessing she has developed MBD -- please get a good UVB I am going to help w/ that but I need to know what your using -- I can post links for this stuff as well - but we need to get this fixed ASAP-- Please get rid of this 75watt night light for heat------------ dragons like it cool and dark if your tank is dropping below 65 at nite please get a CHE I can help w/ that too if you need it

The night time light keeps the tank at 70 so I’m gonna keep it because she sleeps better when it’s on compared to off.

Your response is really confusing lol I really appreciate the help but I don’t rly understand half of what your saying because there is just so much. What lights should I use for UVB and basking so I can get them right away. And what else should I be feeding her besides crickets, super worms and the supplements.

Ok yep get rid of it I am posting links to good UVB's the one your using is one of the worst and this would be a good reason for all the glass surfing
for a 40 + gallon tank you want one of these a 24" fixture
Zoo Med ReptiSun T5 HO Hood this comes w/ a 5.0 bulb keep it for a back up the distance and placement are different from the bulb you need which is this one a 22" Zoo Med ReptiSun 10.0 UVB T5 HO or this fixture which they are currently out of stock but I see Petsmart is now carrying them you can check there
Arcadia Pro T 5 w/ a 12% bulb Arcadia ProT5 12% UVB Bulb With Hood
or this one a Sunblaster Nano Tech 24" or 2 ft SunBlaster NanoTech T5 HO - Fluorescent Fixture with 6400K Lamp this comes w/ bulb --- please get this ordered ASAP when it comes in please let me know so I can help you place it in the tank

Ok so you need a good UVB I posted links for those -- order one of them ---- get rid of the coil its NO good -- I posted a link for the basking bulb get the one I posted its the Exo Terra one --- please NO colored bulbs your hurting the dragons eye site -- colored bulbs distort the the dragons vision and can cause long term eye damage and blindness!! Please shut it off and dont use it --- dragons like cool and dark no temps below 65 at nite -- if they are dropping below 65 get a CHE I will help w/ that they give off heat NO light --- you want 2 digital thermometers one for the cool side of the tank and one for your basking side YOU MUST HAVE THESE the dragons health depends on the basking temps and the UVB it is crucial
she needs to be fed fresh salads every day here is a nutrition website Nutrition Content ignore the kale thing its a real good staple feeder --- your going to have better luck w/ the dubia roaches they keep longer and are easier to take care of --- just reread my post and if you have more questions please ask --- when you get the UVB please post on here I will help you get it set up in the tank they have certain placement and distance depending on the screen ---

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
