I'm getting my baby bearded dragon soon and for substrate i'm using the sand mat and am wondering if he could get impacted on the loose sand and small pebbles. Any thoughts?

I would go with non adhesive shelf liner, so much easier to clean. I had 2 of the Repti carpets but they need washing & drying. Shelf liner is easy to clean, bugs can’t get under it & cheap to replace.

Or you can go w/ tile from like Home Depot Menards Lowes- not a smooth tile but one that is coarse- I have it and I love it - easy clean up w/ mixture of vinegar and water and paper towels - have it cut to fit size of tank- my husband cut it to fit tank and its easily removable as well for getting under it to clean- I have a bottle of the vinegar / water sitting next to Hiccups tank --

Just another suggestion -- I think it cost me $10 for the tile and its a 50 gal tank

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
