3 month old beardie, calcium with D3 every day?

Postby BeardieSmaug » Wed May 16, 2018 9:55 pm

I;v been feeding him dusted crickets every day, with Repti Calcium D3, my question is, what about multivitamins? Is dusting with D3 fine? I have also Repashy Calcium Plus vitamin and calcium supplement, should i replace the repti calcium D3 with the Repashy? Or should I get a repti calcium with no D3 and a separate HERPTIVITE Multivitamin ?

i use the
Zilla 08616 Desert T8 Light Fixture, 24-Inch with reptisun 10.0 tube

I communicated with you earlier but wanted to post so others can reference. When using a T8 or other relatively low output bulb (relative to sunlight) it's good to offer some D3 supplementation with the calcium. If you provide a light even coat on the bugs it's unlikely to cause any overdose problems. Since you have Repashy Calcium Plus that is a good all in one option and it would make sense to move to using that at every meal.

Thank you so much, and I sent you another pm (sorry to bother), regarding his constant stress marks and darker color. We previously discussed that its nothing to worry about since he is doing everything else just fine, eating, pooping, basking, sleeping, etc. But its been one full week and the only times he doesnt have his marks is when he sleeps. When he sleeps his color changes dramatically to a bright yellow color. and he is still very dark in his viv during the day. at what point does his marks start to fade away? They slight fade away when I take him out of his viv. Specially his beard, it turns almost completely white

And thank you so much for all your help. you help A LOT of people here and make many owners and beardies happy :)
