Hey all - has anyone seen anything like this before? Not sure if I should be concerned. She's coming up to 11 years old this Nov. No health issues so far.

Hello,

That looks somewhat like retained shed to me. How long has this been present?
Does it seem to be bothering him?
You could try soaking a soft toothbrush in warm water & gently scrub that area to see if the
scale works off.
It does have a little reddish speck but I don't think it appears to be an injury on there though.
If you have some raw unpasteurized or manuka honey you could put some of that on there,
too.

It was just some shed and sand particulate - it came right out with a warm water soaked soft toothbrush rub - thanks all!

Hello,

That is terrific news! I am glad that it was something relatively simple to fix & that there weren't
any complications.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
Taking my beardie for a walk
