Carpet cleaning and Beardies

Postby Yucidity » Wed Jun 23, 2021 10:38 am

We recently bought a baby beardie a few months ago and it's about time to have our apartments carpet steamed again the usually every 6 months or so, is it safe to do with him in the apartment?

We use F10sc made up 1:250 in a 1L spray bottle .

Lizard has an "accident" on the lounge or carpet , we pick up with a damp paper towel and spray area with F10.

Any residue left of urates or poo is vacuumed up when normal cleaning happens.

As long as he's not on the carpet when it's happening, lol!!
The wonderful world of bearded dragons is a magical land of mystery, enchantment, cuddles, love and, worry! A mysterious realm where things always seem to change in an instant and, the moment you think you have it all figured out, the rules change! You think you own your dragon, guess again. You are now a slave!!!

It's just steam, it will be fine. Steam cleaning carpets doesn't typically produce much steam anyways as it's pumped into the carpet and sucked back out.
