Digital probe thermometers are the most accurate- I would invest in two - one for your cool side as well-- you want 3 temps in the tank -- basking 105-110-- middle of tank 90's and cool side 80's during the day - temps at nite not below 65 above 75-- analog are good for ambient temps- let ahbd take a look and see what she thinks
