Rex was roaming around, and my sister decided to leave her rats in my room, I didn't think much of it and I continued with my work, Rex sprinted across the room and I went over to see what happened, he has a small cut over his eye, a cut near his the top of his head, and the one that scared me so badly a large cut behind his head, I've applied vaseline to his face already and I'm cleaning the cut as often as possible.

Hi there, you can use a paper towel with diluted betadine to clean it [ soaked pretty well with the solution ] then put neosporin or raw honey on rather than Vaseline. Raw, unpasteurized honey is a powerful antimicrobial and is even good for the eye in case it gets in the eye accidentally.
