Red Scabs on Beardie's toe

Postby MollyAndNax » Wed Jan 20, 2021 8:40 am

My beardie recently came out of one of his brumating spurts, and I noticed this weird red scab on two of his hind leg toes. Does anyone know what it is/ what to do? He does scrape the inside of his hide with his feet while brumating, but that is his front legs. [Click image to enlarge]

I can't see the toe too clearly, but it looks like a scab. It could be from catching the toe on something or perhaps from biting at it. If it looks healed over now and you don't see any further signs of damage then it will likely heal up. If you see any open wound then I would try to keep the area as clean as possible and perhaps apply some antibiotic ointment like neosporin.
