Beardie hides all day?Re: Beardie hides all day?Unfortunately she is still on the ground. I am severely lacking in furniture. I will see if I can get something.
Re: Beardie hides all day?Look at your used furniture stores Craigslist - moving sales - garage sales----------- I bought a dresser from a used furniture store w/ drawers that work great for keeping their supplies in for $40

Re: Beardie hides all day?Hi All,
Nigel is still sleeping/hiding and I noticed her gaping. I was worried she might have a respiratory infection, so I took her to the vet. Her bloodwork came back and everything looks good but when the vet drew blood, she also drew quite a lot of yellow liquid. I think the term she used was hemolymph, but I am not sure. This concerned her and she thinks Nigel might have reproductive issue/disease. Treatment for that would be a reptile spay. Do any of you have experience with this? Thanks!

Re: Beardie hides all day?I have never sent a PM before. Is there a difference between the message showing up in the outbox vs sent messages? Currently it is only showing up in the outbox. Thanks!
Re: Beardie hides all day?Hello,
I will PM you back, with regards to your girl. Has her beard been dark at all? Do you have a video of her walking, etc just so we can get a better idea of her ability of movement we could post? Since she is not eating much & seems to be dehydrated, you can definitely try to get some blended foods into her. Essentially, just blend up squash, chicken or turkey baby food, along with green beans or blended greens if you can get them smooth enough to go through a dropper or syringe. The vet drew blood from the caudal vein? Sometimes they try to draw blood from their vein on the side of their abdomen, but, it is tricky to do so. Do you have a copy of the blood test results you could post for us? It sounds like she has follicular issues, based on the yellow discharge. Did she have any trouble laying her eggs last time? Tracie
