Rankins dragon temperature worries

Hi all,

I have a 4' viv with 2 female Rankins Dragons (one brumating). The basking spot temp is about 41C, the temp on the back left hand corner floor nearest the lamp is about 30C but the right hand corner floor temp away from the heat lamp is only about 18C. This last temperature is concerning me. Should I worry? if so, what should I do?

Thanks in advance.

18c is low but not necessarily dangerous, especially since warmer areas are readily available. How does 18c compare to the ambient temps in the house? You could set up a small heat projector on that area to bump the temps a bit, but I really wouldn't worry about it too much since the other temps in the enclosure are plenty warm.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
Taking my beardie for a walk
