Hello,

How is your little dragon doing today?
The compact/coil UVB that you are using now, will unfortunately need to be switched out
to the long tube bulb because the wavelength or UVB is better quality. Can you try to
exchange that one?
How far is the MVB from him, 10 or so inches? I realize it is only a 60 watt but just want to
be sure he is a safe distance in case the light is emitting too harsh of UVB emissions.
Has his appetite picked up any?
Let us know how things are going.

Hello,

That sounds good. Are you using a basking light for heating, right now, since you are not
using the MVB now?

Yes please get rid of the coil--- you need a long tube not the coil-- they are inadequate --- please get the 24" fixture w/ a reflector and a Reptisun 10.0 T 5 or a Arcadia 12% D3 bulb --- many places have been out of the Reptisun but you really need to get rid of the coil--- I would replace the MVB w/ a bright white basking bulb --- I am going to post some examples of what you need to get and you can look at your local pet stores most do not carry the length I am recommending for the UVB you may haft to order it on line ---
https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/zoo-med-reptisun-t5-ho-terrarium-hood.html 24" this item is out of stock -- this is my go to place and they have a hard time keeping this in stock
here is the bulbs I am talking about

bright white basking bulb https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/environmental-control-and-lighting/exo-terra-intense-basking-spot-light-14809.html?cgid=500202 these bulbs are trial and error - start w/ a 75 watt you may need to increase it but PLEASE you MUST have a digital probe thermometer to get the basking temp --- NO stick ons they are inaccurate -- once you get this all corrected your dragon should start eating again -- basking temps should be 95-110 NO hotter -- place probe on basking decor piece get temp in about 10 minutes or so
Please get these ASAP---

Hello,

How is your dragon doing today? I hope you were able to get a new UVB light also.
Have you been able to find a good digital probe thermometer? A temp gun works very
well, too for measuring temperatures. Most of us use both types, in combination for the
best readings.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
