Is This Normal?

Postby westcoastlizardlady » Sat Oct 24, 2020 11:23 am

Hello!

My beardie is a 1 yr old female, and there are plenty of things in her cage to climb. However, she chooses to stay ONLY on the right side of her cage, and stay on the ground all day. In fact, I never really see her move much from that spot.

The right side of the cage is where the ReptiSun 10.0 strip bulb is mounted inside, but there are basking bulbs on both sides of the cage.

Why doesn't she ever go on the left side of her cage? Why isn't she climbing? Does she not want to be near the ReptiSun?

Hi there, pictures would help greatly as well as more info on the temps. Can you tell what the temps. are throughout the tank ? How many watts are the heat bulbs on both sides ? Here's how to post pics :

It’s brumation season, maybe she’s slowing down her metabolism. Mari seems to be getting slower in that she basks all day (she’s all set to go to sleep when she’s ready in terms of weight, age, and health. I just really hope she doesn’t sleep through her first birthday! I bought her a birthday present from Pampered Beardies and I plan on making her a blueberry and Repashi grub pie soufflé! Lol.)
