Thank you guys. It means a lot. I was going to leave this be now, but I wanted to update you all on what I found out. The vet offered to do a necropsy for free, so she did it today and found out a lot. It raises a million questions but also is some decent closure even if it sucks.
Her liver was messed up and had spots I believe she said, I don’t remember exactly. It was all around just odd and she wasn’t even sure if it could properly work. Not sure why her liver looked okay on her bloodwork. Her gallbladder was three times the normal size. Her intestines were very scarred up. No idea why, maybe genetic, maybe cancer, maybe something else but there were several spots that were scarred over and they would scar over and over again. They made the intestines really narrow so things had a hard time passing, which is likely why she was throwing up as there just was finally not enough room to let things pass. Explains a lot honestly, from now and the past.
It’s all awful but it’s some closure. There was nothing I could have done, and barely anything the vet could have even done. More tests, exploratory surgery she might not have survived, maybe more surgery to try and fix what’s wrong. We probably would have been back to either putting her down or letting her pass at home comfortably. She lived a long time for any dragon, but especially for what she was dealing with. It helps a bit to know it all even if it sucks. I did everything I could and there was nothing else I could have done and it wasn’t my fault, so there’s that at least.
She’ll be cremated so she’ll be home again soon. Once again, thank you all for all your help with her over the years and recently
