Bearded Dragon Hatchlings...

Hi! So my bearded dragons are going to have a clutch of eggs in the springtime next year... what price should I sell them at? See, because I would just give them away except the feeding and UVB bulbs and heat lamps cost something, and selling them for even a small price would be helpful... thanks! They are just the average, yellow or gray patterned bearded dragons. Thanks!

Hi Savannah, I take it that you're planning on breeding them ? Beardie babies will not make you enough money to recupe your expenses at all unless you have extremely high color and/or desirable morphs that are unique or highly sought after. Along with that, they are a lot of work. You need to have a regular supply of expensive insects, babies eat an unbelievable amount of insects and must be fed 3 X a day in general to keep them from biting each other's tails + toes due to their huge appetite. I'll link a stickied thread from the breeding forum, it's 11 years old but things are even more difficult now.

Oh, I've had a clutch of babies before... it's just that I didn't sell them that time, but gave them away. They are just normal, typical, yellow/gray bearded dragons. I also don't really assume that I will recuperate the expenses of raising them, but support the cost. Just because, I'll also say that the babies I bred last year were bright colors of yellow and gray with really pretty markings.
