I went on a short vacation for 5 days and left my mom and sister in charge of my guy for 5 days. I figured worse that happens is they forget to turn his lights on for a day or they skip a day feeding. I got home after 5 days at 4:45am to see the UVB on and the heat bulb is not working. I found out that the UVB was never turned off and they don’t know when the heat lamp broke. I was told he’s not eating, I haven’t tried to feed him since I want him to sleep. Any suggestions on what I can do other than get him a new light and fix his sleep schedule?

I’m throwing a blanket over his tank so the sunlight doesnt wake him up.

Hello,

Oh my, I am so sorry! I guess they are fired then, for lack of care for your dragon?
I think he will be ok eventually, but at the moment, I'm sure he is stressed & quite
tired. How do his eyes look?
It is ok to let him sleep for awhile, he needs to catch up. He likely wont eat for awhile
since he hasn't been warm enough & he's probably exhausted!
You could consider giving him a nice long bath/warm soak just to help relax him, if he
is fine in water. That may help him drink a little bit. Other than that, just letting him try
to get back on schedule naturally is all you can do. You can keep him a little warmer
overnight, using a ceramic heat emitter or heating pad on low with a towel in between
him & the pad, too.

Let us know how he is doing.

gotten some rest.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
