Head swelling and opening

I noticed just yesterday Bean has a weird red spot on the side of his head and that side is pretty swollen , the scales are spread apart, compared to the other side.
It doesn't seem to hurt him when I touch it. I'm guessing going to the vet is the best option, I was just wondering if anyone has seen something similar before.

Does it feel soft like it's filled with fluid? Or hard? A vet may be able to take a sample of fluid buildup to determine what is going on. I would keep taking photos of it so you can more easily compare and see if it is growing or looking worse over time.

I can't see any swelling from the top. Can you take a pic of the other cheek to compare ?

Hello,

Yes, if you can take a couple of closer pictures of that, I am not sure what it could be.
Is there anything in his tank that he could have hurt himself on?
You can get some raw, unpasteurized honey to put on that area, to see if that helps to
deter & prevent infection.
Does it seem to be hurting him at all?

Thank you guys for replying, sorry it took so long to post, I was working a lot. It seems to be healing maybe? He does have mopani wood for his basking spot and he's pretty active so it is possible he could have hit his head. It almost looks like a scale is missing? It doesn't seem to hurt him and the area feels no different than the other side. I thought it was swollen because the scales on that side are spread more than the other side but even that looks better as of this morning when I took the new pictures.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
Taking my beardie for a walk
