Medication Question

Hi everyone! My beardie is about ready to lay her third clutch of eggs. She was also just diagnosed with pinworms. Is Panacur okay to give while she is gravid? I asked the receptionist and she is going to get back to me, but I figured you guys would know more :)

Her first clutch had 4 babies hatch, her second has 7 fertile eggs still incubating, and I expect her 3rd to be fertile (some) as well.

Thank you!

Hi there, those babies are super cute [ as they all are ] and the mom is beautiful ! Be sure to spritz the babies to give them hydration, mostly aim for the head. It probably would not hurt fully shelled eggs at all but you could always wait until she lays the next clutch if you're concerned. She may lay more clutches even after , 4-6 is average. BTW, what happened to the rest of the eggs or were they just infertile ? If so how old is your male breeder ?

We spritz the babies and give them water with an eye dropper each night. They drink a lot that way and love their dubia roaches.

She laid 21 the first time and 19 looked great- even saw veins. They all slowly deflated, except 4 and I don't know why. We checked the temp and humidity and I was at a loss. The second clutch, she laid 17 and 10 were infertile (they were yellow and small) but the 7 growing now are twice the size of the other eggs and they are on day 39. I ordered better substrate for the eggs and I think that helped.

My male is almost 9. My female is almost 2. He was never successful mating with my previous female, so maybe it's him. I feel like she will lay another similar size clutch with how gravid she looks and feels.

We are giving the babies to my female's breeder to continue raising as she has the proper setup to split them all up. They are almost 2 weeks and starting to become a bit territorial. I don't want anyone to get into a fight. We will raise the next set for a few weeks and then do the same.

I'm open to any suggestions. Pepper (my female) is the best mom. She buried her eggs so even I couldn't find them at first :)

It's amazing to watch how some females bury the eggs so well, even using their chin to tamp down the substrate . :) So if the male is 9 he may not be producing as much semen but in all honesty your better off with fewer fertile eggs . There are so many beardies out there + they don't always get good homes. As for them seeming to be territorial it's always good to set them up in a medium - large plastic tote with lots of branches like this :

The key is to have enough space + basking areas AND you need to feed them insects 3-4 X a day to keep them from nipping each other. A hungry baby sees toes and tails as a tasty snack. Keep a large leafy green like turnip mustard or kale in the tank [ collards are tougher so use them as the babies get older + bigger] and the babies will start chomping on it as well at some point. As they get older just chop the greens + set them in a large flat bowl or paper plate for easy visibility.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
