Trying to eat wood?

Hello, seems I have a lot of issues with Copper lately ?

The other day I bought him a new mopani wood decorations for his tank, along with a few other things, since he needed a new bulb. He was fine for the first few days but today he started trying to eat it, and not just gentle chewing, full on attacking it and trying to get a piece off. He did this in the past, but I thought he’d gotten over it.

Could this be due to a deficiency? Should I be feeding him differently?

Please let me know!

I would take it out ---- what are you feeding? How old is the dragon? Are you feeding supplements like calcium D3 ? vitamins? What is the husbandry in the tank? It would be best to post a pic of the tank so we can see what the issues might be causing the behavior https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/ click on XIMG at the top of the message box then click on the pic

so I kept it in and monitored him closely for the day, it seemed he was just hungry.

I fed him some collared greens and he hasn’t done it since. I have been keeping a close eye on him and he hasn’t shown any signs of doing it either. I’m not overly worried anymore.

I offer calcium and vitamins in the tank and dust super worms when I feed them to him.

Are you feeding a staple feeder like dubia roaches or crickets silk worms? The dubias and silk worms are a real.good staple feeder - crickets are ok but the silk and dubias are better- also there is a nutrition website on the feeding board-- that's good he's not trying to eat that wood now

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
Taking my beardie for a walk
