Hello! I am looking to become a bearded dragon owner in the next month or so. I live in the middle of Nebraska and I am unsure of where to purchase my first bearded dragon from. I have looked through other discussions and a lot of the posts about online breeders are from a few years ago so when I go to their websites they are out of date :( . I would love to be able to go in person to get my bearded dragon but I don't think there are any breeders near me. So with all that said, could someone please help me find a place to get a bearded dragon. :D Thank you in advance!

Do you want to order one? There are people on the forum that have ordered theirs-- or you can look for a mom and pops store that might be breeding them - you can try a vets office that might know of someone who breeds them or a rescue center-- they would be a good place to start as well -- adoption would be a good option -- so many beardies need new homes --- what ever you decide make sure you start w/ the correct husbandry ---- NO coil UVB's --- and please ask questions --- we can recommend things to buy and what not to buy right off the bat so your not wasting money and time ---

Thank you! I will check out what my local vet says. I currently have found a reptile tank on facebook that’s 38x18x12 and it comes with lamps and everything. I do want to buy my own stuff so I will probably ask more questions later. Thank you so much!

If you are still looking and ok with ordering online for overnight shipping there are a few diffent places I have gone through and can advise on my experience.

http://www.fireandicedragons.com/ is a breeder that cares so much on the babies they produce they had me send pictures of a proper setup before shipping. This was my first online experience and I felt like they really cared that everything went perfectly after the sale.

http://www.carolinaclassicdragons.com/ is another breeder I have gone through for 2 of our dragons. David the main one in charge worked with me so that I purchased the one listed that I wanted but with my questions picked up on another that he had that wasn't even listed that I would be interested in and offered that one to me anyway. (thats my 2 year old female citrus tiger) was one of his hold backs that would have become a breeder for him.

https://www.morphmarket.com/us/stores/?cat=bds is another place I have gone through - I specifically ordered from Anrews Reptiles https://www.morphmarket.com/stores/andrews_reptiles_llc/?cat=bds but there are many breeders with listings there. You just want to do your hoework on their ratings which are public to view the lat 12 months of customers ratings.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
