Ok so he needs a staple feeder -- I would get some dubia roaches -- worms are not a staple feeder - you can order some dubias from here http://www.dubiaroaches.com - feed him the salads w/ 1-3 small -medium super worms on top for enticement - thats all - you dont want him addicted to worms --- then add the staple feeder to your dish / bowl one that the worms / bugs cant get out of -- he is probably still going thru relocation stress so his eating will pick up as long as you have the proper temps for basking and UVB - you can also get some BSFL from here http://www.symptonbsf.com - these are a great staple feeder and they do not need to be dusted --- you need to dust his/ her bugs 5 x per week w/ calcium D3 and vitamins 2 x per week -- do not have your dad feed him -- you need to be able to keep track of what hes eating --- he needs to eat as many dubias as he can in a 10-15 minute time frame - but you want him eating some veggies / salads too - here is a website for nutrition

You can keep dubias in a 10 gallon aquarium or / tote and feed them dubia food or dragon veggies along w/ carrots for hydration - if you need more help please ask
You will need to get him a bigger tank here real soon that 10 gallon you have him in hes going to quickly outgrow it - I would look at getting a tank as big as you can afford they recommend a 75-120 gallon --- you can look on FB marketplace or craigslist and I would look for one w/ front doors --- also if you go used make sure you saniatize it real good before use -- what is going on w/ the UVB>? Are you switching over to a tube or keeping the coil?

They are BSFL. I usually just say "worms" as a shortening of "phoenix worms." Sorry if that was unclear. But yeah, he has those - said that in my original post.

Ok so you can go look here for a fixture and bulb - they have a generic fixture for $32 that has a reflector and its a 24" of which I recommend for tanks 40 -120 - if your going w/ something bigger than a 120 I would recommend a longer fixture - and the bulb a 10.0 T 5 or the T 8 -- here is the website www.pangeareptiles.com

Update 2: Sooo I brought home 14 crickets from work and he went after those. LIKE. CRAZY. I guess he just isn't as interested in the BSFL because he was only ever fed crickets at PetSmart. I'm still baffled that he went to TOWN on the BSFL for a good 4-5 days before he stopped eating them. I'm hoping that if I do a combination diet he may eat them, because the calcium content of those is very preferable to the crickets...but even so I suppose I am going to have to supplement dust now if he's not solely eating BSFL *sigh*

Try some dubias -- they are less stinky and easier to care for than crickets

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
