Hi Clarity,

You've been given excellent advice so far from AHBD and Karrie. There really is nothing I can add besides welcome to the site, welcome to the world of dragons, and congrats on your new buddy :) I bet your son is very excited.

It can be a bit stressful starting out, but once you get all your husbandry setup proper, things just fall into place and the stress turns into enjoyment :)

I am going to go ahead and move your thread over to the health section instead of the ER section as you definitely are getting things under control now :)

Hope to see more pics of the little guy as he grows!

I’m happy to report that adding a stronger bulb to the heat lamp has gotten basking spot temps to 115. And Alex ate 10 crickets today, as well as moving about his cage more.
Thanks again for all the help!!

You could always baby food like green beans or carrots and smear on his lips an she will lick away or feed with a dropper syringe or you can use a blender and blend some carrots and some other greens and put some crickets in the blender or dubia roaches or something high in protein its great I call it the beardie protein shake

That's great to hear ! He's settling in now and should continue to do better + better. He doesn't need baby food since he's eating now , everything sounds good. :)

Better and better indeed. Alex ate some of his salad this morning and 6 crickets so far. My son is ecstatic, and I’m glad we passed the first hurdle. Here’s to 10-15 more years fretting over a lizard! ?

And you will! ?
Welcome to the Dragon world!

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
