so shes 2 years old, went to the vet 2 months ago for cause she wasn't going to the bathroom for a lil over a week (she was ovulating, had a lil trouble with re-absorbing eggs, calcium tincture and a basking surface bump from 105 to 125 fixed that). Now...i noticed this skin issue (was very minor looking at the time, only on neck) maybe 3-4 weeks or so after the vet and light change. I assumed it was stuck shed as she was having a weird shed (hadnt shed in a while as well, like, oddly long despite bathing attempts). That next week my semester started and though i take care of her obviously, I didn't think much of the patch of skin and with school starting i let it slip my mind. I went away for a weekend and came home sunday to find that well...it now looks like this. It made quite a leap over the weekend, whatever it is.

I'm hoping this is just a burn or burn (s). Her belly is clean. The spot on her side had a dried yellow puss-like substance on it. She's been receiving lamasil 1-2x a day since and it does seem a little bit better. (these pics are from when I found her). I luckily, can access human-grade itrocanozole and voriconazole (not going to go into detail lol but I basically get them for free) and would start her on a powder/tincture with the appropriate size adjustments if this is yellow fungus. I am not a vet and cant afford one at them moment, but I have done enough research to know thats her best shot at living. FOr those who have used itrocanozole (easier to get in my case), were you using 5mg or less?

Hi there, can you post pics of the tank set up and how the light was positioned before ? The area on her back looks like a burn, not Y.F. You def. don't want to start her on those powerful meds. when she doesn't have Y.F. Silver suladiazene cream would be better for that or even raw honey [ works wwonders ] So post pics of her tank, how many watts her heat bulb is and how close she was getting to it. The spot on the side doesn't look like Y.F. either but can you get a pic from the side ? The pic you posted does not show it clearly.

So im using a PAR-38 outdoor halogen, her cage was the same essentially but she used to be able to get twice as close while basking (cinderblocks were on their sides as opposed to flat now) plus there was another brick she could go on. Id say like less than a foot away cause its a 40g breeder. Pardon the water stains i assure you her cage is clean, just a lil calcium dust from her crickets and some shed from today lol. Im glad you think its just a burn. The pic where its brighter is from today, its a lil funny looking i think from the lamisil which i stopped yesteday, just caked up and it needs to be bathed off.

O.K., the areas on her side are much clearer now, I don't know if that's Y.F but it would be best to have a skin scraping done by an experienced reptile vet . But before you do, check to see how many watts the par 38 outdoor bulb is. Is it 90, 150 ? Since the basking spot was a little higher she may have been burned then. And yeah, I know about skin shed, dried veggies, an insect leg and calcium powder making the tank look dirty but it's just beardie dander + dry food stuffs usually. :)

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
