Shedding

Hi :)

I think it can definitely make them not so happy - not so great - and so that could come off as lazy. I always imagine their shedding to possibly feel like what we humans feel like with a bad sunburn - our skin feeling tight at first - then itchy - then peeling - etc ...
Not fun for sure!
I know when that happens to me I’m a combo of angry - agitated - and I don’t really want to move all that much at first ...
So - if you kinda think of it that way - it makes sense :)

Definitely not lazy, IME, but they may not want to move as much because it's uncomfortable.
I'd say (from observation) cranky, itchy, and aggravated. He really doesn't want to be messed with, so I leave him alone on shed day, which is usually over (when it finally "pops") within 24-48 hrs.

Other dragons may be different--they're all individuals.

Hello,

Shedding can do strange things to them. LOL
It might cause lack of appetite, or grouchiness & an overall frustrated state depending on how
much they are shedding. You can give him a bath to help out if needed, maybe he would like
that?

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
