Calculating age question

Hey everyone ??
So I was wondering how you all calculate your beardies age so my question is do you calculate your beardies age from the time they hatch or from the time eggs were laid???
I have always thought that you started counting age from the day they hatched out off the egg, but I was wondering if I'm doing it wrong? Bc if so my beardies are older than what I was previously thinking.
Thanks to anyone who can answer my random question lol

Ok lol that's what I thought too but someone told me I was supposed to calculate from when the eggs were laid and I was dumbfounded bc I had never heard that lol. But thanks for your reply ?I had to double check
