Feeding AmountFeeding AmountWhat is a good amount of crickets for a 15 month old bearded dragon to eat per feeding? I believe she is about 18 inches but I havent measured her in awhile and she weighs 330g.
Re: Feeding AmountThat depends partly on the size of the feeders, whatever they are (crickets, worms, roaches, etc.)
The general rule, regardless of size, is to let them eat as much as they want in 15 minutes, then stop.
Re: Feeding AmountThe last time she was left unchecked for even 10 minutes she massively overate
![]() EDIT: Not literally unchecked, just allowed to eat for 10 minutes. Everything was within safe size (within distance between eyes) so she wasn't impacted... but she became bloated, seemed uncomfortable, and had a rough time passing it all. EDIT 2: Her appetite at each feeding ranges from not interested after 10 1/2" crickets to no signs of stopping at 60+ 1/2" crickets. I dont remember how many it was when she overate the one time. Re: Feeding AmountDrop only one or two crickets in the tank at a time, I'd stop when your dragon has eaten maybe 12 to 16 medium crickets .

Re: Feeding AmountCurrently the crickets I have seem a little on the smaller side (between 3/8 to 1/2"), I'm guessing medium would be 1/2 to 5/8 or 3/4"?

Re: Feeding Amount
Thanks. Can't say I'm not surprised that it's only 12-16 for 1.25cm though. Current crix range from 1.00-1.25cm
