Hi everyone
I really appreciate we have this website, always experts here to help, instead of just lots of cute pictures...
I have a7 month old bearded dragon, she cannot eat since 3 weeks ago, always go to sleep and hide. I took her to the vet. x-ray shows liquid in her belly, doctor tried to draw the blood from her, but she is small and no nutrition for a while so workers couldn't find blood vessel, doctor send x-ray to specialist try to figure out what possibly happened. It takes days to get result Now I'm waiting for the results. it makes me so panic. so I decide to do something instead of just waiting. I took her out to the sun 2 hours a day ,I mix cockroach and collard green in to juice to feed her. She drink it and she poop. I'm happy she can drink and has bowel movements, but I today I see in her poop there is only black part , it is not diarrhea, but there is no white urinate, there are a lot of water pee out but no white part.! In this waiting time I hope somebody can share their experience about their beardie, what happened ? Is that kidney problem what can I do now? Thanks.Ruby

Hi there,

That's good that she poo'd. Urate won't always come out with every poo though.
Did the vet have an idea of what the fluid was doing in the belly?

Would you be able to post a picture of your dragon and your setup so we can see?

What did her daily diet look like before she stopped eating?

Vet said infection, or liver problem, or kidney disease...may cause fluid in belly, unfortunately they poke holes on my baby still cant get her blood.so only X ray I can offer

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
