Does anyone know if I can use a mini deep dome fixture for a 100watt megaray. It says it's rated for up to 100 watt type a bulb, I know megaray isn't a type a bulb but do you think it would be fine.

I find I usually run into issues when I reach the max rated wattage for the fixture. I always oversize fixture rating.
Mainly just bulbs burning out quicker.
It should be fine to run. it's a ceramic socket right?

Yes it ceramic. The deep dome one i have as seen better days and I have a mini dome that's brand new. But I can stick with the old if you think it would be better.

Yeah I agree that you want the fixture to be rated above the wattage of the bulb for best results. I like to use the dome fixtures from the farm supply store. They are cheap and heavy duty. The ones I have are rated to 300w and cost under $10.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
Taking my beardie for a walk
