Taken major turn for worse. Totally out of it and gasping :-( probably won't be taking her home!

Well the vet said was lack of nutrition. Gave us metacam and critical care and said come back in 3 days. She died shortly after :-(

So I am confused--------- how can she be too fat from lack of nutrition??????????? I am so sorry :( To me some one did not know what the **** they were talking about! Two vets and I am guessing neither one knew what they were talking about-------------- I am flustered here --- again I am sorry she passed but w / everything that happened to her I shouldnt be surprised!! Just remember for future reference if you decide to get another dragon you need to scope out a better reptile vet!!!! Key word being reptile-I dont know where you live but for petes sake some one should not be practicing on reptiles if they dont know them-- I am lucky and live in a area that has options - my first reptile vet I did not like she didnt seem knowledgeable enough so I went to a another one---------------- talk about nite and day from the two vets---- she does consulting w/ the University of Miami which is a specialist in reptiles - she does a lot of consulting w/ them so if she cant get answers she contacts them --- it sounds like these vets were shooting in the dark as to the why she was doing what she was doing--- my heart goes out to you and I am sorry --- :(

Sorry to hear that---- can you get a reference from a breeder of reptiles in your area and go from there or maybe in another city close to you -- I guess I would check before you decide on another beardie- if you cant get the proper care then it would be risky to get another one for fear of this happening again-- if you live close or semi close to another big town there might be options there--- just saying

I'm so sorry. :( I know this is very traumatic for you, trying so hard to help your girl and helpless to save her. I think it was either impaction or egg follicles that may have ruptured or both. All my sympathy to you.

Hello Linz,

I just wanted to say how sorry I was that you lost her.
I wish that I could have helped more for you. I agree, I do think that it was probably an egg
issue most likely.

I wonder if there is any way to get a professional to review to xray. If it proves an egg folicle issue maybe I could go back to the vet. Or maybe I'm just lookibg for a fight....It won't bring her back :-(

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
