Yeah that's not swollen tissue that's the prolapse breaching the stitches again. At this point just do what you're doing and take her in in the morning.

Like AHBD said, they can still have the urge to push and unfortunately that causes the prolapse to occur again in some cases.

We are all rooting for you two. Hopefully something can be done in the morning

Be gentile. Keep the area clean and moistened as you have been doing. How is she looking now? Any signs of a black beard? Is she acting lethargic at all?

You can try. Make sure you are clean too.

If she starts black bearding then shes definitely in distress and I'd stop and talk things over again with the vet.

Yeah I couldn’t do it, it was quite big and there was no way I could do it. I’ve laid her down on a damp towel, If I spray it now with water will it be moist until the morning ?

I would worry about leaving a damp towel around her. I think the (clean) vaseline or similar is a better idea. Think of it a bit like using chapstick to keep lips from drying out. Keep her warm and as comfortable as possible until morning.

Why would the damp towel not be a good idea? And how do I keep her warm overnight. I don’t have a heat pad and I need to turn the lights off for her to go to sleep.

Hello,

Oh dear, I am sorry.
They often do prolapse several times after due to muscle spasms, etc.
If there aren't anymore eggs then it is just because of the urge of pushing probably from egg
laying. He could give her a muscle relaxer to try & help & will have to carefully restitch the
area.
I am sure that they will see her first thing in the morning since it's an emergency. Even if your
vet wont be in, another vet there should be able to look over the situation with you.
Water will evaporate & wont really hold moisture in as well as vaseline would.
Keep us all posted on her. I hope she is able to sleep some.

Because it will chill the dragon overnight due to evaporation and wont keep it moist and protected like vaseline would.

If you haven't already you can turn the lights out. How cool does your house get?

Truth be told, the cool might do some good in the sense that it will relax her muscles and hopefully stop her from pushing more.

Thank you so much for all the advice. Bonnie would’ve had to go through another serious surgery 2 hours away from where we live at an exotic specialist. Because it was so big the vet said that since she had just gone through surgery we wouldn’t want her going through that again as there’s a small chance of her making it. Although my heart hurts I had to make the decision to put her down to stop her from suffering. Her ashes will be scattered in our Edinburg public garden which I think is a nice way for her to be remembered since we don’t have a garden and we can’t bury her ourselves. I love her so much and I don’t know what to do. I don’t take loss well at all and I feel this will affect my whole life. I can’t stop crying and my head hurts. Do you have anyways to cope with loss like this??

:(

I was hoping this was just post surgical inflammation and it would retract overnight , but was much worse, I think you've done the best thing you could do for her.

Don't beat yourself up, it's obvious she was loved and you did everything you could to help her.

I'm sooooo sorry. :( You did do the right thing, it's very sad that these little creatures have to go through something like this. I don't handle loss of a pet well either, it's devastating and can be very intense. When my cats of 17 years died I was a wreck and it took a while to get over them. You WILL get over it though. Give yourself time to grieve and if your friends/family don't understand because it was a reptile [ sometimes non reptile owners do not understand ] then feel free to post here where other people who lost dragons or other pets will understand. But do keep up your normal routines and don't isolate yourself [ aside from some down time to grieve, just not for too long by yourself ] My heart goes out to you.
