So, I got a new baby bearded dragon (1-2 months) on Saturday. It’s not Wednesday. Up until yesterday he was just eating small crickets. He wasn’t eating that many (maybe 15-20 a day). I had ordered some Dubia Roaches online and i ordered the wrong size(5/8 of an inch) but gave him some smaller ones to see if he would eat. Of course went crazy for them. He now wants nothing to do with the crickets and only wants dubias. I order some smaller ones yesterday but they won’t come until around Friday or Saturday. How do I get him to eat without feeding him dubias that are much too big for him?? :/

I should also note no pet stores around me sell Dubia Roaches In WAS state

Hang on to the dubias they will last - just
keep trying w/ the crickets to see if he will eat them - if hes hungry enough he will eat them - are you offering salad like mustard collard or turnip greens ? some squash like zucchini- yellow or butter nut - ? you can always offer fruit too like apples strawberries blueberries -- no citrus !

Yes I offer him collard greens and some bell pepper every morning. Sometimes he takes it sometimes he doesn’t. I got him to eat some calciworms yesterday so atleast he ate something.

Offer him a variety of vegies --sweet potato green beans peas shredded carrots - eventually you will find something he will really like

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
